Nov. 20 , 2024 — Seventy percent of businesses have been impacted by distracted driving incidents, according to a new survey conducted by Teletrac Navman, a Vontier company and the connected mobility platform for industries that manage vehicle and equipment assets, with mobile phone use being cited as the leading cause by 68% of survey respondents.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (Nov. 13, 2024) — Arcoro, a provider of human resources management (HR) solutions for construction and field-based industries, announced that the company's board of directors has appointed Dave Gray as CEO, effective immediately. Gray, an internet technology industry veteran, most recently served as CEO of Daxko, a technology partner for health and fitness centers worldwide. He will assume Arcoro’s day-to-day leadership and join its board of directors.

MCCONNELLSBURG, Pa. (Nov. 12, 2024) — JLG Industries Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation business and global manufacturer of mobile elevating work platforms and telehandlers, named Rogerio dos Santos Vice President EMEAI Region and Global Strategy/Mergers and Acquisitions for Access Equipment.

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. (Nov. 5, 2024) — The 10th annual ACI Excellence in Concrete Construction Awards showcased dozens of innovative concrete projects from around the world.

The "Overall Excellence” award was presented to TSX Broadway — Palace Theater, located in New York. The winning concrete project also received first place in the Repair & Restoration Structures category during the ACI Concrete Convention on Nov. 4.

TOWSON, Md. (Nov. 11, 2024) — DeWalt, a Stanley Black & Decker brand and provider of total jobsite solutions, announced in-market availability across North America of DeWalt Powershift, a cordless equipment system designed to optimize the workflow of concrete and construction jobsites through electrification.

HOUSTON (Nov. 5, 2024) — Mitsubishi Logisnext Americas Inc. (Logisnext), a North American provider and manufacturer of material handling and innovative automation and fleet solutions, donated motorized Mitsubishi Forklift pallet trucks to the  Houston Food Bank (HFB). As one of the largest food bank in the nation, HFB plays a vital role in distributing food to those in need across southeast Texas.

WASHINGTON (Nov. 1, 2024) — The construction industry added 8,000 jobs on net in October, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) analysis of data released today by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. On a year-over-year basis, industry employment has grown by 223,000 jobs, an increase of 2.8%.  

GARNER, Iowa (Nov. 1, 2024) — Stellar Industries, a 100% employee-owned and -operated manufacturer of mechanic and service trucks, cranes, tire service trucks, hooklifts, trailers and service truck and van accessories, announced the acquisition of Elliott Machine Works Inc., a family-owned manufacturing company based in Galion, Ohio.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (Oct. 31, 2024) — Fleetio, a fleet maintenance management software company, announced the expansion of its embedded integration with Ford modem-equipped vehicles and Ford Pro plug-in device technology. The integration, which is Fleetio's first embedded original equipment manufacturer (OEM) integration, now supports a more comprehensive exchange of data with the Fleetio platform, open to all Ford Pro Telematics subscribers.

Oct. 24, 2024 — PCF Insurance Services, a top 20 U.S. insurance brokerage, announced that it is rebranding to Trucordia, effective immediately. The name Trucordia combines the words “trust” and “accord,” which reflect the integrity, harmony and collaboration the company considers the cornerstones of its business.

To guide Trucordia’s future growth, Trucordia CEO Felix Morgan also unveiled the organization’s new business strategy.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Oct. 23, 2024) — Garney, a national provider of water and wastewater construction, announced a partnership with RodRadar, a technology company specializing in real-time underground utility detection during excavation. This collaboration advances excavation safety, efficiency and utility strike prevention through RodRadar's Live Dig Radar (LDR) technology.

NORCROSS, Ga. (Oct. 17, 2024) — WesPro JCB celebrated the groundbreaking of its new $12 million facility in Norcross, Georgia, marking a significant expansion and commitment in its North American service capabilities. The 15,000-square-foot facility, located at 5493 Goshen Springs Road, will house a parts warehouse, a sales floor and a service shop designed to repair the largest JCB excavators and machinery.

WASHINGTON (Oct. 11, 2024) — Construction input prices decreased 0.9% in September compared to the previous month, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) analysis of U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Producer Price Index data. Nonresidential construction input prices also decreased 0.9% for the month.

SAUK CENTRE, Minn. (Oct. 17, 2024) — Felling Trailers Inc., a manufacturer of industrial and commercial trailers, has appointed Kevin Maves and Carl Thigpen to their outside sales team representing Felling Trailers in the western U.S. Maves now serves the southwestern U.S. region covering California, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico.
